Fishing line found its way to the prop bearing carrier seals on this one...allowing the gear lube to drain out and when the fill plug was removed, nothing but pure water came out.

Luckily, the water wasn't there long enough to damage the major components, but every bearing throughout the drive needed to be replaced. So, she got a new set of bearings and was totally set back, up to factory spec's for bearing pre-loads and gear backlash, completely resealed, pressure tested, media blasted primed and painted, topped off with fresh gear lube, double wrapped in heavy duty bubble pack, strapped to a pallet and shipped back home to California.

 

We were already there, so need them or not, she also got a new set of u-joints and zincs.
